As you can see in this screenshot, a new footer will appear at the bottom of your call history, indicating that your calls are end-to-end encrypted, meaning that no one can listen to them, including WhatsApp and Meta. WhatsApp is almost certainly going to implement the same footer at the bottom of your conversation list and status updates, although there is no sign of this at the present.
