Sony's new iPhone SE competitor has recently leaked, and it's a fascinating smartphone with an even more fascinating SoC inside. So, let's have a conversation about it.

The Sony Xperia Ace 3 is a smartphone manufactured by Sony.

The Xperia Ace 3 is the successor to the Xperia Ace 2, a tiny midrange phone that was only available in Japan. Sony has taken matters into its own hands following the release of Apple's iPhone SE 3 and the paucity of tiny Android phones with high-end processors. The Xperia Ace 3 is a small smartphone featuring a 5.5-inch screen, 6 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of storage, and a Snapdragon 888 processor.

Yes. This small device will pack quite the punch with its very unexpected Snapdragon 888. The device also has 5G support due to the 888 chipset, a 4500mAH battery. Here is a render of the device.

The design, in our perspective, does not correspond to the specifications, and the bezels appear to be excessively large for a 2022 flagship, and the device reminds me of an Android Go device. Unlike its predecessor, the Xperia Ace 2, the Xperia Ace 3 is unlikely to include a 2MP depth sensor, instead opting for a 13MP primary sensor. The Ace 3 will almost certainly continue the Ace series' tradition of midrange processors, given the Ace 2 featured a Helio P35. We can't believe a phone from a budget range will have a Snapdragon 888, but we're hoping it's true, and we'll finally have a competition on the Android side to Apple's iPhone SE series.
