Sources have divulged the codename and April 2022 debut date for the foldable phone, according to a Jiemian article. If this report is correct, Vivo will be the next Chinese smartphone manufacturer to release a foldable device, following the Honor Magic V and the OPPO Find N. These models were among the most recent foldable gadgets to hit the Chinese market. As a result, Vivo will now compete with both of these brands, as well as other firms who produce foldable models. We recently reported on a Vivo X Fold, so this device could be the same model.
According to people close to the situation, the brand's future foldable smartphone would boast a technical leap with its hinge mechanism. According to IDC, foldable phone shipments in China alone are estimated to exceed 1.5 million units by 2021.
