The Vivo X80 series will be the company's next flagship product. The X80, X80 Pro, and X80 Pro Plus smartphones will be part of the series. While we don't know much about the vanilla X80, we do know that the Pro and Pro Plus will be powered by Dimensity and Snapdragon CPUs, respectively. The famous source DigitalChatStation has now reported cryptically that the Dimensity-powered Vivo X80 Pro will have Sony's IMX8-series sensor.
According to the source, the IMX8-series sensor will be supported by a Dimensity 9000-powered device in Vivo. The Vivo X80 Pro is currently the only future Vivo phone that include the aforementioned processor. Having said that, we expect the next Vivo X80 Pro to have the latest IMX8-series or IMX800 sensor.
According to the source, this IMX8-series sensor will be a 50MP main unit. According to prior speculations, the X80 Pro would boast a quad-camera system of 50MP + 12MP + 12MP + 12MP. So, the alleged 50MP unit is consistent with earlier leaks; however, the prior leak revealed an IMX789 sensor rather than the now-rumored IMX8-series/IMX800 sensor.
In addition, the tipter claims that the phone will include the V1 Image Signal Processor. To those who are unfamiliar, the Vivo V1 is the company's self-developed processor that provides a slew of advantages. The chip improves image processing while also allowing for great computational power and low power usage. The V1 ISP is now available on the Vivo X70 series.
The Vivo may be one of the first gadgets to use the IMX8/IMX800 family sensor. Honor is another brand that will have this sensor in their phones. According to a new leak from @RODENT950, the Honor Magic 4 Pro+ will also use an IMX800 sensor.
