A mystery foldable smartphone was sighted in China earlier today (March 14, 2022). This handset might be the Vivo X Fold, the company's first foldable smartphone, which has received a lot of attention in the market.
The photo, which was uploaded on Weibo (via ITHome), showed the smartphone from the front. While it is unknown whose model this folding phone is, it is thought to be the Vivo X Fold. Looking at the photograph, we can see that it has a thick casing, which will most likely conceal anyone from noticing its true design. Despite this, the display is visible and does not appear to have any creases on the front.
We already reported the blueprints of the Chinese brand's foldable device, which were exposed in a previous article. It revealed that its cover display would feature a curved border and a punch hole in the middle. A circular module is housed within a rectangular block on the device's backside. The LED flash and a quad camera system are housed in this module. Around the edges of the X Fold, there is an unknown key, a volume rocker, and a power button.
According to recent reports, the Vivo X Fold would have a 6.5-inch FHD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz on the front. In addition, the internal display will feature an 8-inch panel with QHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC is expected to power the gadget. It is also believed to be powered by a 4,600mAh battery pack with 80W rapid charging capabilities. Keep in mind that these are merely rumours, so take them with a grain of salt and check back for updates.
