In the midst of Vivo X80 speculations, a new Vivo phone has surfaced. In China, a gadget with the model number V2196A has received 3C certification. The certification discloses the future device's charging specifications.
The 3C listing, which was initially revealed by tipster WHYLAB, indicates that an unknown Vivo phone is about to be released. The gadget offers a charge speed of 20V and 4A, which corresponds to 80W charging capability. It is a 5G phone that is set to be released shortly.
According to the source, the former standard – 66W fast charging – looks to be reserved for lower-end Vivo models, while the 80 fast-charging technology becomes increasingly common for higher-end versions.
The Vivo X80, Vivo X Fold, Vivo X Note, and the sub-brands iQOO Neo6 will all be released in the following months. All of these devices will be compatible with the 80W rapid charging technology.
In related news, the much-anticipated Vivo X80 Pro is expected to use a Sony IMX8-series sensor. Under the hood, the gadget is said to contain the V1 ISP and the Dimensity 9000 SoC. According to reports, the smartphone would have a 6.78-inch 120Hz E5 AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. It will be equipped with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It will include a 4,700mAh battery and, in addition to 80W charging capabilities, will offer 50W wireless rapid charging technology.
