vivo Smart Devices uploaded many photographs of the vivo Pad — the company's first tablet, believed to be introduced next month — on Weibo today.
The article joked that because the CEO had demanded product posters on short notice, all the marketing staff could provide were a few genuine photographs. We're not complaining, though, because this is the clearest look at the tablet we've seen so yet.
Starting at the back of the gadget, there is a spherical camera module that appears to house at least two lenses. This circular module is housed within another island, this time rectangular. A tipter previously claimed that vivo appeared to be going big on spherical camera modules this year with its future flagship phones, but it now appears that tablets will as well. Apart from it, the entire construction is metallic and boxy, with squared-off edges.
The vivo Pad, as is common, supports a keyboard attachment, and it appears to be heavily inspired by the Magic Keyboard, into which iPads may be inserted. It includes a flap on the back that the tablet may rest on for a laptop-like experience.
According to the official renderings, the vivo Pad will be available in sky blue and space grey. The tablet also offers ecosystem features including smartphone integration, easy file transfers, and mobile app controls.
The vivo Pad, model number PA2170, has already received 3C certification, indicating that it charges at 44W.
The vivo Pad is equipped with the Snapdragon 870 CPU, features a 120Hz LCD display, supports 44W fast charging, and has a 7,860mAh battery, as previously announced by Digital Chat Station. The tablet's pricing is estimated to be approximately 2,000 Yuan, putting it in competition with the Xiaomi Pad 5, Honor Pad V7, Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro, and others.
