Spotify users on Android now have access to the long-awaited "Swipe to Queue" feature. For many years, the capability was only available to iOS users. Spotify looks to be pushing out the new functionality to users on the beta version of the app, and all Android users should be able to utilise the swiping action shortly. Spotify increased its podcasting commitment this month with the purchases of Podsights and Chartable, two businesses that give deeper data for advertising and podcasting publishers.
It should be noted that the "Swipe to Queue" moniker is unofficial, since the firm has yet to make a statement on its Android deployment. The functionality allows you to easily add music to a Spotify queue with a single motion. The functionality was discovered via a Reddit discussion. Far-Contact-9369, a Spotify user, pointed out that the function is now available for Android users.
In other Spotify news, the company purchased Podsights and Chartable in February. Podsights assists advertisers in determining the success of their commercials, which Spotify stated has been a huge difficulty. Chartable gives audience data to podcast producers to help them assess the performance of their growth strategies. "Our acquisitions of podcast technology players Podsights and Chartable are beneficial in our pursuit of up levelling digital audio measuring analytics," said Khurrum Malik, Spotify's head of advertisements business marketing.
