Snapdragon 8cx Gen2 appears in the Xiaomi Notebook S 12.4!

Apart from cell phones and tablets, the ARM architecture is now used in the computer sector. The M1 chipset variants of Apple's Mac PCs provided the first example for everyday use. Xiaomi will introduce new goods based on the ARM architecture this time. Instead of employing established brands like Intel or AMD, Xiaomi is focusing on the ARM platform. The Snapdragon 8cx Gen2 processor powers Xiaomi's latest laptop.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen2 processor is used in the Xiaomi Notebook S 12.4. Even if the Snapdragon 8cx Gen3 is available, it's unclear why an earlier model is being used. The Geekbench score for the Xiaomi Notebook S 12.4 with Qualcomm's previous generation 8cx Gen2 processor is 766 in single core and 2892 in multi core. The new Xiaomi Notebook S boasts a 12.4-inch screen, just like its name promises. Xiaomi has created the world's tiniest notebook.

The system also contains 8 GB of RAM in addition to the Snapdragon processor. There is currently no additional information regarding the hardware available. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 is 40 percent more powerful in single core performance and 85 percent more powerful in multi core performance than the previous generation 8cx Gen 2. The Xiaomi Notebook S 12.4 may use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 as it is still in development. The 8cx Gen 3 chipset can be seen in the final version.
