 Last week, it was revealed that Samsung is developing a replacement for its existing tough smartphone, the Galaxy XCover Pro. The new XCover Pro 2 will be the first Samsung rugged smartphone to support 5G connection, and we now have further information about the phone thanks to a Geekbench listing.


The model number SM-G736B was discovered by MySmartPrice. The Geekbench 5 database was recently visited by the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro 2. According to the specifications, the gadget sports an octa-core CPU with four cores clocked at 2.4GHz and the remaining four at 1.80GHz. The CPU also has the code name lahaina, indicating that the Snapdragon 778G SoC will power the Galaxy XCover Pro 2.

The Adreno 642L GPU will be used in the smartphone. Aside from that, the listing indicates that the Galaxy XCover Pro 2 will have at least 6GB of RAM and will ship with Android 12's OneUI pre-installed.


To give you an idea of what to anticipate, the Galaxy XCover Pro was released in January 2020 with a 6.3-inch 1080 x 2340p IPS display and a dual-camera configuration of 25-megapixel + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide). It sports a 13-megapixel camera for selfies and an Exynos 9611 SoC with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
