According to certain customers, the GPS connection on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is problematic. Consumers who have been affected have gone to social media and Samsung Community forums to express their dissatisfaction. One of the most prevalent complaints is that no GPS signal is available while using navigation apps such as Google Maps and Waze. Samsung is aware of the GPS difficulties with the Galaxy S22 Ultra and is working to resolve them. However, the business has not yet set a firm date for when consumers' GPS issues would be resolved.

According to user comments on the Samsung Community forums, the GPS difficulties on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra make it impossible to utilise navigation apps. While using Google Maps or Waze, the phone displays a 'Searching for GPS' notification.

Some customers were able to temporarily resolve their GPS connectivity issues by rebooting their phones and re-enabling their location settings. However, this does not totally resolve the difficulties because the connectivity troubles recur after a while.

Nonetheless, a Samsung forum administrator stated that the firm is aware of the issues and is working on a software update to resolve them.

According to user complaints, the GPS difficulties are mostly affecting customers in Europe, and the afflicted Galaxy S22 Ultra units appear to feature an Exynos SoC. It has not yet been established whether the same issues affect users of the Snapdragon-version of the phone.

Notably, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC is used in the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra in India and several other territories. Its Exynos variant is only available in a few European countries and South Korea.
