The Samsung Galaxy Awesome Unpacked launch event, where the South Korean tech giant is likely to announce its future midrange phones as part of the Galaxy A-series portfolio, is rumoured to be just around the corner. At the Galaxy Unpacked launch event last month, the firm unveiled the Galaxy S22 series, which includes the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra, as well as the Galaxy Tab S8 series. Now, the firm is rumoured to be organising a Samsung Galaxy Awesome Unpacked event for March, when smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A73 5G might be unveiled.
According to tipster TechInsider (@TechInsiderBlog), the firm is planning a Galaxy Awesome Unpacked launch event in March. Samsung has yet to make an official announcement about its plans to hold an event to showcase its rumoured A-series devices. However, the assertion appears to correspond to the schedule for Samsung's last A-series phone announcement event in 2021. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 smartphones last year at the Galaxy Awesome Unpacked event on March 17, 2021.
It's unclear which models will be unveiled during the rumoured event. Samsung is rumoured to be working on four new A-Series handsets: the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G, the Galaxy A53 5G, the Galaxy A33 5G, and the Galaxy A23 5G.
Samsung Galaxy A73 5G, Galaxy A53 5G specifications (expected)
According to prior rumours, both the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G and Galaxy A53 5G may ship with Android 12 pre-installed, with the company's One UI 4 layer on top. The Galaxy A73 5G and Galaxy A53 5G are expected to have 6.7-inch and 6.52-inch AMOLED panels with 120Hz refresh rates, respectively. The Samsung Galaxy A73 5G is rumoured to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC, while the Galaxy A53 5G is supposed to be powered by an Exynos 1200 SoC, according to Geekbench.
Both the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G and Galaxy A53 5G smartphones are expected to come with quad rear camera configurations. The Galaxy A73 5G will be equipped with a 108-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel secondary camera, as well as 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is said to have a 64-megapixel primary camera, a secondary 12-megapixel camera, and two 5-megapixel cameras. The devices are believed to have 5,000mAh batteries and enable 25W rapid charging.

Samsung's Galaxy A33 5G and Galaxy A23 5G devices are expected to ship with Android 11. The Galaxy A33 5G and Galaxy A23 5G are believed to have 6.4-inch AMOLED and 6.6-inch IPS LCD screens with 90Hz refresh rates, respectively. The Galaxy A33 5G is believed to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC, and the Galaxy A23 5G is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC.
The rumoured Samsung Galaxy A33 5G and Galaxy A23 5G smartphones may potentially include quad back cameras. According to reports, the Galaxy A33 5G would include a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel secondary camera, as well as 5-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. In the meantime, the Galaxy A23 5G is said to have a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel secondary camera, and two 2-megapixel cameras. The devices are believed to have 5,000mAh batteries and allow 15W charging.
As previously said, Samsung has yet to make an official announcement on the four Galaxy A-Series smartphones or the rumoured Samsung Galaxy Awesome Unpacked event.
