Samsung has set a market launch event for the A-series smartphones on March 17. The Galaxy A33, A53 5G, and A73 5G are among the phones scheduled to be unveiled during the event. The Galaxy A53 5G was purportedly sighted at a retail outlet in Kenya giving away its live pictures and box packing before of its introduction. The smartphone has now been certified by Google Play Console, verifying a number of its specifications (via).
According to the listing, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G offers a Full-HD+ resolution display. It will feature a 1080 x 2400 pixel screen resolution. The display will feature a 450 DPI screen density.
The smartphone will be powered by the Exynos 1200 SoC under the hood. This is consistent with what we've learnt from previous disclosures. The listing also verifies the device's RAM capacity of 6GB. This RAM type is believed to be the entry-level option, maybe combined with 128GB of storage. There will also be an 8GB + 128GB storage option for the gadget.
Aside from that, the Galaxy A53 5G, as previously stated, features a 6.52-inch SuperAMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It offers an 800 nit peak brightness and an Eye Comfort Shield (low blue light) function.
When it comes to cameras, the phone features the same camera island design as its predecessor. It sports a quad-camera configuration with a 64MP primary lens with an aperture of f/1.8 and OIS capability. The main lens is supplemented by a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a third 5MP macro sensor, and finally a 5MP depth sensor. It includes a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture on the front.
The smartphone will have an IP67 dust and water resistance rating and a 4,500mAh battery. It will support Samsung's standard – 25W rapid charging. Bluetooth v5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, and NFC compatibility were all revealed in the listing.
The pricing of the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G in Kenya has been leaked. The gadget costs KSh 45,500, or around $400. The gadget is available in two colours: blue and orange.
