Samsung Galaxy A53 5G and Samsung Galaxy A33 5G with Quad Rear Cameras Have Been Released: Price and Specs

On Thursday, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G at its Galaxy A Event (March 17). The Galaxy A53 5G is the successor to the Galaxy A52 5G, which was released in March of last year. The Galaxy A33 5G is the successor to the Galaxy A32 5G, which was released in January of last year. Quad rear cameras and octa-core processors are standard on both new versions. The phones also include 25W fast charging and come pre-installed with Android 12. Up to four generations of One UI and Android OS upgrades, as well as up to five years of security patches, are guaranteed for both phones.The Galaxy A53 5G has a hole-punch display, whereas the Galaxy A33 5G has a waterdrop-style notch, which is a significant distinction between the two. The availability of the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G was announced at the same time as the launch of the two versions.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G costs EUR 449 (approximately Rs. 37,800) while the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G costs EUR 369. (roughly Rs. 31,000). Both phones are available in six different configurations: 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB. 

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G will not be available in India until later this year. Samsung, on the other hand, stated that although the Galaxy A53 5G would be available in certain areas beginning April 1, the Galaxy A33 5G will be accessible beginning April 22. Both versions will be available in the following colours: Awesome Black, Awesome Blue, Awesome Peach, and Awesome White. Samsung has revealed that the Galaxy A73 5G will be available in select markets on April 22nd, with the two new Galaxy A-series smartphones.

Last year, the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G was released for EUR 429 (approximately Rs. 36,000) while the Galaxy A32 5G was released for EUR 279 (about Rs. 36,000). (roughly Rs. 23,400).

In addition to the new Galaxy A-series phones, Samsung announced a new Onyx colour for the Galaxy Buds 2 and Galaxy Buds Live, which will be available in April.

Specifications for the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G offers a 6.5-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display with a 120Hz refresh rate and runs on Android 12 with One UI 4.1 on top. The phone is equipped with an octa-core processor and up to 8GB of RAM. It has a quad-camera combination with a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G has a 32-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.2 lens on the front for selfies and video chats.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G comes with up to 256GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 1TB with a microSD card.

5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C connector are among the connectivity choices. An accelerometer, ambient light, fingerprint, gyro, magnetometer, and proximity sensor are among the sensors on board. The phone is also dust and water resistant, thanks to its IP67 certification.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G has a 5,000mAh battery with 25W rapid charging capability. However, the supported charger is not included in the retail box. Furthermore, the phone is 159.6x74.8x8.1mm in size and weighs 189 grammes.

Specifications for the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G

The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G, like the Galaxy A53 5G, comes with One UI 4.1, which is based on Android 12. It does, however, have a different 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U Display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone is equipped with an octa-core processor and up to 8GB of RAM. It includes a quad-camera arrangement on the back with a 48-megapixel primary sensor and an f/1.8 lens on top. A 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro shooter round out the camera system.


The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G sports a 13-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.2 lens on the front for taking selfies and video chats.


The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G has an inbuilt storage capacity of up to 256GB and can be expanded by up to 1TB with a microSD card.

The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G has the same connectivity options, inbuilt sensors, and battery as the Galaxy A53 5G. The phone, however, is 159.7x74x8.1mm in size and weighs 186 grammes. It's also built to IP67 standards.
