Samsung is bolstering its gender-friendly credentials by announcing the opening of its first mobile store in India that is entirely staffed by women. The move coincides with this year's International Women's Day celebrations and is also part of the #PoweringDigitalIndia effort.
The new Samsung mobile store in Ahmedabad aims to increase Samsung's market share in the subcontinent by highlighting the power of Indian women. With an all-female crew, the new Samsung Smart Cafe provides consumers with a one-of-a-kind purchasing experience. The shop manager, Samsung Experience Consultants, and other employees have received training on the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem, as well as bookkeeping, inventory management, and customer service.
The Employee Resource Group (ERG) and Women in Samsung Electronics (WISE) provide assistance to employees in both their professional and personal life. According to Ken Kang, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, the business is pleased to open India's first all-women mobile shop and is optimistic about the new opportunities given by the great team of Samsung women who are a part of the programme. The mobile store fits right in with Samsung's core values of people, quality, and co-prosperity, and Kang says the company is working hard to increase the number of women in its workforce. The corporation aspires to develop the next generation of female leaders within the organisation.
