Remember the horizontal cameras on the alt realme GT2 Pro? After all, it's still a possibility.

OnLeaks published renders of a unique realme product with a horizontal camera design reminiscent of the Galaxy S10 series and quite close to the Pixel 6 back in December. The phone was dubbed the realme GT2 Pro, and it sparked a lot of buzz due to its departure from realme's regular design aesthetic.

When official GT2 Pro teasers started pouring in, it was discovered that the device had ditched the horizontal camera layout in favour of the not-so-special top-left-aligned camera configuration. The realme GT2 Pro with the Pixel 6-style camera bar was never seen again after that.

But fast forward to today, and the device has resurfaced – tipster OnLeaks inquired about its whereabouts on Twitter, to which realme's official global handle replied simply, "keep tuned."

The statement dispels claims that the alt-realme GT2 Pro was only a concept that didn't make the final cut, indicating that it could be released soon. Although no estimated debut date was given, given that the phone has been in development for some time, we shouldn't have to wait much longer.

Since a device with the same name has already been introduced, some of you may be wondering what happens to the realme GT2 Pro moniker. To this, we'd speculate that realme is intending to release the phone as a limited-edition replacement or as a completely new model.
