Following the debut of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition smartphone in China last month, the firm is now preparing to unveil more phones in the Redmi K50 series, with an event slated for March 17th.
With only a few days until the actual launch event, Redmi has been teasing some of the important aspects of the new smartphones through teasers, and the most recent one included data regarding the battery capacity and charging speed.
According to the new teaser picture provided by Redmi, the future K50 series smartphone will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery and would enable 120W fast charging technology.
It's worth noting that the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition also has 120W fast charging capabilities but only has a 4,700mAh battery. The business also claimed that it could charge the smartphone completely in 17 minutes.
The Xiaomi-backed company has stated that the Redmi K50 series smartphones would sport a Samsung display with 2K screen resolution compatibility. It boasts a pixel density of 526ppi and capability for various complex customizations.
So far, teasers have indicated that the Redmi K50 series phones would have twin stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos compatibility and Hi-Res Double Gold certification. There's dual-frequency GPS, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, an IR blaster, and it's touted to be the first device in the industry to offer Bluetooth 5.3.
The Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, and Redmi K50 Pro+ are likely to be released, each powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, MediaTek Dimensity 8100, and MediaTek Dimensity 9000, respectively. We'll have to wait a few more days for the formal launch event to learn more about the exact specs, features, pricing, and availability.
