After launching the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition last month in its home country of China, Xiaomi-backed Redmi is preparing to launch new Redmi K50 series smartphones.

The Redmi K50 series phones will be officially announced for the Chinese market on March 17th, according to the company. The firm has already begun teasing features of the next smartphones ahead of the launch.

According to the newest teaser graphic published by the business, the Redmi K50 series smartphones will have a display with support for 2K screen resolution obtained from South Korean powerhouse Samsung.

It boasts a pixel density of 526ppi and capability for various complex customizations. The firm also announced that it is the most costly display in Redmi's history.

So far, teasers have indicated that the Redmi K50 series phones would have twin stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos compatibility and Hi-Res Double Gold certification. There's dual-frequency GPS, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, an IR blaster, and it's touted to be the first device in the industry to offer Bluetooth 5.3.

Redmi CEO Lu Weibing said that the Redmi K50 series would offer simultaneous Wi-Fi and Bluetooth operations, which is important for gamers since it allows users to game with Bluetooth headphones without worrying about internet latency.

The Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, and Redmi K50 Pro+ are likely to be released, each powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, MediaTek Dimensity 8100, and MediaTek Dimensity 9000, respectively. To find out exactly what the gadgets include, we'll have to wait until the actual launch event in a few days.
