Redmi has already released its first smartphone in the K50 series, the Redmi K50G, also known as the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition, which is powered by the newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The flagship Redmi K50 Pro Plus, on the other hand, is reported to sport a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, which may have been implicitly verified by Redmi's General Manager.

The Redmi K50 Pro Plus is slated to be released shortly in China and will most likely be rebranded as a POCO smartphone (POCO F4 Pro) in other parts of the world. It would be interesting to see how the new processor performs on the Redmi K50 Pro Plus, especially since we know it outperforms Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC in benchmarks like Geekbench.

The performance of the Dimensity 9000 SoC is believed to be greater to that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 since the chip was made using TSMC's 4nm process rather than Samsung's, resulting in higher power efficiency and reduced thermals. A single Cortex-X2 super core, three Cortex-A710 big cores, and four Cortex-A510 tiny cores comprise the processing unit. This system is connected to a Mali-G710 GPU.

It would also be fascinating to compare the performance of the K50 Pro Plus to that of the previously launched Redmi K50 Gaming Edition, which is equipped with the SD 8 Gen 1 SoC.

So far, the new Dimensity 9000 SoC is only available in the OPPO Find X5 Pro, which is now only accessible in China.
