The Redmi Gaming Monitor with a 23.8-inch display has been revealed in China as the newest addition to Xiaomi's monitor collection. The most recent gaming-focused display has fast IPS technology and a refresh rate of up to 240Hz. DC dimming is also supported by the display. The Redmi Gaming Monitor comes in a single black colour choice and features a slim design. Xiaomi says that the sRGB colour space is also completely covered. The Redmi Gaming Monitor is the successor of the Redmi Display 1A and the Redmi Display 27-inch monitor.

Redmi Gaming Monitor price, availability


In China, the new Redmi Gaming Monitor is offered for an initial price of CNY 1,599 (about Rs. 19,100). The monitor's original retail price is CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 20,300). Pre-orders are presently available on JD.com, Xiaomi Mall, Xiaomi Home, Tmall, and Xiaomiyoupin. The monitor is slated to begin shipping in China on March 4.

At the present, Xiaomi has not revealed any information on the Redmi Gaming Monitor's international availability, including the Indian market.

Redmi Gaming Monitor specifications


Redmi's new gaming monitor has a 23.8-inch LCD panel with thin bezels on the top and sides and a comparatively larger chin. It features a reaction time of 1ms and a refresh rate of up to 240Hz. Xiaomi has included AMD FreeSync Premium technology in the new display to offer a smooth gaming experience while maintaining a minimum full-HD resolution.

According to Xiaomi, the new display features fast IPS technology to give a faster reaction time than a standard IPS screen. It supports DC dimming and has 100 percent coverage of the sRGB colour palette. TUV Rheinland's reduced blue light certification for display is also included with Redmi's new gaming monitor. Xiaomi claims that the monitor stand can be tilted and is multipurpose. At the time, no more information about the new Redmi Gaming Monitor is available.

In May of last year, Xiaomi released the Redmi Display 27-inch monitor with full-HD resolution for CNY 799. (roughly Rs. 9,100).
