Realme GT Neo 2 smartphones are now receiving the stable version of the Realme UI 3.0 upgrade, which is based on Android 12. Among the new features in the software upgrade are different customisation choices, Fluid Space Design, Sketchpad AOD, and improved privacy and security features. According to Realme, the upgrade will be available to a limited number of customers at first, with a wider deployment following in the coming days. In October of last year, the Realme GT Neo 2 smartphone was released with the Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0.
Users are advised to upgrade their Realme GT Neo 2 smartphones to the needed version RMX3370 11.A.08 in order to obtain the update, according to a post on a page on the Realme Community forum. The UI version of the update is RMX3370 11.C.04, and the manual download link will be posted on the website soon. Realme also mentions a staggered deployment and that the upgrade is being "randomly sent out to a limited number of users." After it is established that there are no serious flaws in the upgrade, the larger deployment will begin in a few days.
The Chinese manufacturer also stated that owing to the availability of various third-party applications, the Realme GT Neo 2 may take longer to boot for the first time after the update. It further states that following the update, the system will execute "a series of operations such as programme adaption, background optimization, and security scanning," which may "cause mild hanging and quicker battery consumption."
According to a post on the company's community site, the Realme UI 3.0 offers a new design with a clean user interface, a reworked page layout based on the philosophy of decreasing visual noise, and icon redesigns to the Realme GT Neo 2. Realme claims that Quantum Animation Engine 3.0 makes animations more lifelike, and that the Always-On Display function now includes'realmeow' and Portrait silhouette settings.
In terms of ease and efficiency, the Realme UI 3.0 introduces "Background stream mode," which allows the audio of a movie to continue playing even while the phone is locked. Users may now drag a file from My Files or a photo from the Photos app to a floating window using the FlexDrop functionality, which has been renamed Flexible Windows. When it comes to privacy, Phone Manager now includes capabilities such as Privacy protection, Passwords, and Emergency.
Other additions include a Quick Launch function, increased responsiveness while turning on or off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Airplane mode, and NFC, smoother gameplay, and reduced battery consumption. A new zoom slider has been introduced, as well as the ability to customise the appearance of camera modes on the menu bar.
