Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasised the 'Make in India' effort on Thursday, asking for the country to be self-sufficient in semiconductor production.

The Prime Minister added, virtually addressing a post-budget Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) webinar on 'Make in India for the World,' "We need to provide priority on 'Make in India,' we need to make sustainable and qualitative products." We must become self-sufficient in semiconductor manufacture. 'Make in India' is the current trend."

The Prime Minister described the 'Make in India' project as "not just a need of the hour," but also a "opportunity to demonstrate the world our industrial capability."

The Prime Minister emphasised the significance of the effort, saying, "Our goal is to make India a self-sufficient marketplace for not just ourselves, but also for the rest of the globe. It will be an endeavour that will improve manpower and skill development, making us stronger in the future."

"Make in India" creates "unlimited potential," he says.

The Prime Minister also stated that more work must be done to transform India into a "manufacturing powerhouse."
"Our country has been blessed with personnel and resources that will considerably assist us in attaining our objectives," Prime Minister Modi stated.
