  • Realme is said to be following in the footsteps of OnePlus by introducing an alert slider.
  • The first Realme phone with the switch is expected to be released next month.

Since the OnePlus 2, most of its devices have had an alert slider switch that allows users to choose between vibration, quiet, and ringing sound profiles. This means you don't have to power on your computer and go to the quick settings to change your sound profile.

The feature hasn't caught on with smartphone manufacturers as a whole, but MySmartPrice and Twitter tipster Yogesh Brar say that Realme will release a phone with an alert slider next month.

The Realme phone will reportedly be a mid-range device, but no additional specifics were provided by either source. Nonetheless, it's possible that this is the first time we've seen an alert slider on a phone from a manufacturer other than OnePlus.

It might also be useful for folks searching for a less expensive phone with an alert slider. OnePlus does not include the functionality on any of its lesser Nord phones, such as the $240 Nord N200 and $400 Nord CE 2. Realme could possibly fill this need by bringing an alert slider to smartphones priced under $400.
