Motorola announced a list of Moto phones that will receive the Android 12 upgrade in December of last year. Although the OEM did not provide a timetable for each smartphone, the stable Android 12 update has now begun to be seeded to the mid-range Moto G30.

Several Moto G30 customers in Brazil have confirmed the arrival of the stable OTA on the official Lenovo Community forums. The Android 12 update package is little larger than 1GB in size and has the build number S0RCS32.41-10-9-2. This update is intended for the Moto G30 retail dual-SIM edition in Brazil (model number XT2129-1-DS). The release also includes the security fixes for February 2022.

With this update, Moto G30 users may enjoy all of the new features and enhancements included in Android 12, such as the Material You dynamic colouring scheme, sensor access indications, Privacy Dashboard, individual approximate location sharing, and much more.

At the moment, the Android 12 update appears to be limited to Moto G30 units in Brazil, but it should be available in other regions in the coming weeks. If you haven't gotten an OTA notice, you may manually check for the update by going to Settings > System > System updates. Power users may also utilise the Motorola Rescue and Smart Assistant Tool to download and install the new firmware right now.

The Moto G30 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 CPU with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of flash storage. A 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor are all lined up vertically on the back, along with a fingerprint scanner hidden under the trademark Moto batwing emblem.
