Motorola may not have been quick to begin Android 12 upgrades, but it does expect to update a large number of phones, as revealed back in December. The ball was just kicked off last month with a phone from 2020, and we're already, luckily, moving on to a newer model.

That's the Moto G30, which was released almost precisely a year ago. This handset is now receiving an upgrade to Android 12, and the deployment has begun in Brazil, one of Motorola's most significant markets.

G30 users in that region have reported receiving update notifications left and right. The updated software is a 1.09 GB download with the version number S0RCS32.41-10-9-2. It is presently available on the dual-SIM Brazilian Moto G30 with model number XT2129-1-DS. Aside from all of the niceties that Android 12 has to offer, this one also includes the February 2022 security updates. A month late, but still adequate for a mid-range smartphone.

Now that the update is available in one area, we're anticipating that it will be available in other countries where the Moto G30 is sold over the next few days (or weeks, at most).
