On March 3, the Moto G22 was quietly released in Europe. Motorola's latest pocket-friendly smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G37 SoC, a PowerVR GE8320 GPU, and 4GB of RAM. The Moto G22 has a 6.5-inch HD+ MaxVision LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The Motorola smartphone has a quad-camera arrangement on the back, led by a 50-megapixel main sensor. The Moto G22 features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 5,000mAh battery that is expected to last more than a day.

Moto G22 price, availability


The Moto G22 is priced at EUR 169.99 (about Rs. 14,270) for the single 4GB + 64GB storage configuration. It is available for purchase in a few European countries. Motorola said the smartphone will be available in India, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East in "the coming weeks." The new Motorola smartphone comes in three different colours: Cosmic Black, Iceberg Blue, and Pearl White.

The Moto G22 dual-SIM (Nano) device runs Android 12 with the MyUX overlay on top. It has a 6.5-inch HD+ (720x1,600 pixel) MaxVision LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, a pixel density of 268ppi, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The Moto G22 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G37 SoC, a PowerVR GE8320 GPU, and 4GB of RAM.

The Moto G22 features a quad rear camera configuration for optics. It has a 50-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. A 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture is housed in a central hole-punch cutout on the front of the camera.

The Moto G22 has 64GB of internal storage that can be increased with a microSD card (up to 1TB). 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi with 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5, NFC, USB Type C, and a 3.5mm headphone port are among the connectivity choices. Onboard sensors include a fingerprint sensor on the side, face recognition, a proximity sensor, an ambient light sensor, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, an e-compass, GPS, A-GPS, LTEPP, SUPL, Glonass, and Wi-Fi.

The new Moto G22 comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging. However, it only comes with a 10W charger. The phone is also water-resistant in design. It has dimensions of 163.95x74.94x8.49mm and weighs 185 grammes.
