Mac Studio and Studio Display were announced during Tuesday's virtual Apple event (March 8). The new gadgets are aimed at professionals who want to enhance their existing equipment. The Mac Studio is priced more than the M1-powered Mac mini and outperforms the current Intel-based Mac Pro. It is powered by the M1 Max or the recently released M1 Ultra SoCs. The Apple Studio Display is the company's most recent external display. To handle some processing functions natively, it is powered by the Apple A13 processor.
Mac Studio, Apple Studio Display price in India
The cheapest edition of the Mac Studio costs Rs. 1,89,900 in India and includes the M1 Max SoC, 32GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. Prices for the M1 Ultra SoC begin at Rs. 3,89,900 with 64GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD.
In India, the Apple Studio Display costs Rs. 1,59,900 with normal glass and Rs. 1,89,900 with nano-texture glass.
Both the Mac Studio and the Apple Studio Display are available on the Apple online shop in India and are expected to delivery within a few weeks.
In the United States, the Mac Studio will cost $1,999 with the M1 Max, 32GB of RAM, and 512GB SSD (about Rs.1,50,100 before taxes) and $3,999 with the M1 Ultra and 64GB of RAM (approximately Rs. 3,00,300), while the Apple Studio Display will cost $1,500. (roughly Rs.1,12,600).
Mac Studio specifications
The Mac Studio is smaller than the Mac Pro and is meant to seem like a taller version of the Mac mini. It's built of aluminium and has an Apple logo on the front, as well as USB Type-C or Thunderbolt connections and an SDXC card slot. The gadget also has a slew of connectors on the back, including a 10Gb Ethernet port, HDMI, Thunderbolt 4, and two USB-A ports. A 3.5mm headphone jack is also included. The Mac Studio also has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 connectivity options.
The Mac Studio comes with 32GB of unified memory and a 512GB SSD as standard. The M1 Ultra SoC will include up to 20 CPU cores and 64 GPU cores, as well as 128GB of unified RAM and 8TB of SSD storage. In India, the top-tier configuration with the M1 Ultra SoC, 128GB of RAM, and an 8TB SSD would cost Rs. 7,89,900. The machine is approximately 94mm height and 195mm broad.
Apple Studio Display specifications
The 27-inch Apple Studio Display boasts a 5K resolution, 600nits of brightness, and True Tone for colour correction based on ambient conditions. The Pro Display XDR, on the other hand, offers a 32-inch 6K (6,016x3,384 pixel) display with a pixel density of 218ppi. The Apple Studio Display's display is also said to have genuine 10-bit colour and super-wide viewing angles. The new Apple monitor features an A13 SoC to perform some activities without the use of external resources, as well as a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera that enables Center Stage to reframe video chats based on who it recognises in the frame. A three-mic array and a high-fidelity six-speaker system ensure crisp sound for music and film, as well as spatial audio.
A tilt-and-height adjustable arm is included, as is a VESA mount option. Reflections can be reduced by using a glass with a nano-texture. It features three 10Gbps USB Type-C connections and one Thunderbolt port for connecting to all devices and charging any Mac notebook at up to 96W.
Apple's Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad will be offered in a new Black and Silver colour scheme.
The Magic Keyboard with Touch Pad and Numeric Keypad will cost Rs. 19,500, while the Magic Trackpad and Magic Mouse will cost Rs. 14,500 and Rs. 9,500, respectively.
