As a follow-up to the Huawei Mate X2, which was released in February of last year, a Huawei Mate X3 foldable smartphone is rumoured to be in the works. The main characteristics of the Huawei Mate X3 have been leaked online before of the official presentation. A Kirin 9000 4G SoC is slated to power the device. It's said to have a 4,500mAh battery and operate on the newest HarmonyOS 2.0.1 version. In addition, the new Huawei foldable smartphone has been found on TENAA, indicating that it will be released soon.
On the Chinese microblogging network Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station released important Huawei Mate X3 details. The next foldable phone will operate on Hongmeng OS 2.0.1, which is the same as HarmonyOS 2.0.1, according to the source. The new phone is believed to include a BOE Display PWM (pulse-width modulation) screen with an ultra-thin glass display. Kirin 9000 4G SoC might be used to power it. The Huawei Mate X3 is also believed to include a 4,500mAh battery.
Separately, TENAA, China's state telecoms certification body, has listed Huawei Mate X3 with model number PAL-AL00. According to the listing, the phone would enable dual-SIM and will feature 4G connection. On the anticipated foldable Huawei device, the listing also indicates the HarmonyOS 2.0.1 operating system and a 4,500mAh battery. GizmoChina was the first to notice the listing. It's worth noting that Huawei hasn't released any information on the unveiling of the Huawei Mate X3 yet.
The Huawei Mate X2 foldable smartphone was first introduced in China in February of last year, with prices starting at CNY 17,999 (approximately Rs. 2.01 lakh) for the 8GB + 256GB edition and CNY 18,999 (about Rs. 2,12 lakh) for the 8GB + 512GB option.
The Huawei Mate X2 has a 6.45-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. It unfolds to expose an 8-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. The octa-core Kirin 9000 SoC and Mali-G78 GPU power it. It has 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of additional storage through Huawei's Nano Memory card (up to 256GB). A 50-megapixel main sensor, a 16-megapixel sensor, a 12-megapixel telephoto shooter, and an 8-megapixel super zoom camera are included in Huawei Mate X2's quad rear camera configuration. It has a sensor with a resolution of 16 megapixels. The Huawei Mate X2 comes with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 55W rapid charging.
