Reliance Jio launched the Rs. 259 'calendar month validity' prepaid recharge package on Monday, promising unlimited internet and voice calling services for exactly one calendar month. The Rs. 259 Jio prepaid recharge plan is meant to renew on the same day each month, allowing consumers to remember only one recharge date each month, according to the telecom. This implies that if you recharge on April 5 with the Rs. 259 plan, your following regular recharge dates will be May 5, June 5, and so on.
Jio has introduced a Rs. 259 prepaid recharge package for both new and current users, which is available through both online and retail channels. The plan includes 1.5GB of high-speed data access, which reduces to 64Kbps after the initial allocation. It also offers unlimited phone conversations, 100 SMS messages per day, and a free subscription to Jio applications for the duration of its validity.
Although the bundled features of the new Rs. 259 Jio prepaid recharge plan are identical to those of the Rs. 239 plan, it offers 'calendar month validity' to provide a unique experience.
Jio stated that the validity of the Rs. 259 plan adjusts monthly to provide subscribers with the same recharge date. This is in contrast to a standard recharge plan, which has a defined validity term and does not result in the same recharging date every month in the cycle.
Jio's recent action comes two months after the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) ordered telcos to "provide at least one plan voucher, special tariff voucher, and one combination voucher with a validity of thirty days" and have those vouchers renewed "on the same day of every month."
The Rs. 259 plan, like all other Jio prepaid plans, may be recharged numerous times in a single transaction. The advanced recharged plan is added to a queue and becomes active on the expiration date of the current active plan.
Jio introduced the Rs. 555 and Rs. 2,999 prepaid recharge rates with a Disney+ Hotstar Mobile subscription last week.
