iQOO, a Chinese smartphone brand, is rumoured to be launching the iQOO Z6 5G in India tomorrow (March 16). Ahead of that, information about yet another upcoming iQOO phone has surfaced. This device, dubbed the iQOO U5x, will be a 4G variant of the iQOO U5 5G, which was officially launched in China in late December.
The iQOO U5x will be available in China soon, according to Ishan Agarwal (via MySmartPrice). Unfortunately, he is not sure if the device will be made available in India.
According to the source, the phone would have a 6.81-inch LCD display with an HD+ (1600 x 720 pixel) resolution and a refresh rate of 60Hz. It will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. A MicroSD card may be used to enhance the capacity up to 1TB if necessary.
The smartphone will have a dual-camera arrangement on the back, with a 13MP main sensor and a 2MP macro shooter. It will have an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. For further protection, a fingerprint sensor will be installed on the side of the device.
The phone will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery. It will only support 10W charging over a MicroUSB connector. It will be 8.3mm thick, 180g in weight, and available in two colours (black, blue).
In addition to the specific debut date, Ishan has no information on the software or price of the iQOO U5x. We believe the device will be released secretly with either Android 11 or Android 12 and will cost less than $1,500 ($235).
