A DIY YouTuber took matters into their own hands late last year, installing a USB Type-C port on an iPhone X after becoming frustrated with Apple's failure to move to USB Type-C ports on iPhones. A modder has created a bespoke iPhone 13 Pro Max with a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual cooling fans, and a larger battery, inspired by their work.

Creator Yang Changshun takes us a close look at their modified iPhone 13 Pro Max "Ultra" in a series of videos on TikTok (Douyin in China). The device is double the thickness of a conventional iPhone 13 Pro Max, and it includes a second battery, two cooling fans, a USB Type-C connector, bigger speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone socket, as shown in the photographs.

The Frankenstein iPhone 13 Pro Max has double the battery life because to upgraded internals. The films also show that, thanks to the improved cooling technique, the modified iPhone performs substantially better in the AnTuTu benchmark. Although the finished result is a little rough around the edges, it does provide a novel answer to issues that many iPhone users confront on a regular basis. Make sure to watch the videos to learn more about Yang Changshun's incredible achievement. The technique doesn't appear to be simple by any stretch of the imagination, so it's unlikely that you'll be able to replicate it on your own iPhone. Nonetheless, it's encouraging to see DIYers create such devices since it shows that companies might give all of these capabilities on a phone if they're prepared to make it a little thicker.

What are your thoughts on this iPhone 13 Pro Max that has been modified? Would you pay to have these changes made to your iPhone if the end result looked a little more professional? Please share your thoughts in the comments box below.
