On Tuesday, March 8, the Garmin Instinct 2 smartwatch series was released in India. Garmin Instinct 2 and Garmin Instinct 2S are the two variants in the new smartwatch series. The former has a 45mm dial, while the later has a 40mm dial. Solar-charging variants of both smartwatches are available. Because of its recharge capabilities, the Garmin Instinct 2 Solar and Instinct 2S Solar are said to have "infinite" battery life. Both Garmin smartwatches provide health monitoring functions that are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Garmin also has a Tactical Edition of the Garmin Instinct 2 Solar smartwatch available.

The Garmin Instinct 2 begins at Rs. 36,990 for the vanilla model and Rs. 41,490 for the Camo Edition. The Solar Edition of the Garmin Instinct 2 costs Rs. 46,990, while the Solar Tactical Edition costs Rs. 51,990.

The new Garmin Instinct 2S costs Rs. 33,930, while the Solar Edition costs Rs. 43,990. Starting March 14, the smartwatches will be available for purchase. They will be sold through Synergizer and offline Garmin locations, as well as Helios, Just In Time, and other offline retail partners.

The regular Instinct 2 smartwatch is only available in Graphite, but the Garmin Instinct 2 Solar is available in Graphite, Mist Grey, and Tidal Blue. The Instinct 2 Solar Tactical Edition is available in two colours: black and coyote tan. The Camo Edition is only available in Graphite Camo. Garmin Instinct 2S comes in Deep Orchid, Graphite, and Poppy colours, while Garmin Instinct 2S Solar comes in Graphite, Mist Grey, and Neo Tropic.

As previously stated, the Garmin Instinct 2 has a 45mm dial, whilst the Instinct 2S has a 40mm dial. The former has a 176x176 pixel resolution, whereas the later has a 156x156 pixel resolution. Both have a two-window, monochromatic, transflective memory-in-pixel (MIP) display. Although the CPU for both smartwatches is unclear, they both have 32MB of internal storage.

In smartwatch mode, the Garmin Instinct 2 and Garmin Instinct 2S provide up to four weeks of battery life on a single charge. Both smartwatches' Solar Editions give limitless battery life in smartwatch mode if the user wears the smartwatch in sunlight for around three hours. Both smartwatches are expected to last up to two days in GPS mode.

Garmin Instinct 2 and Garmin Instinct 2S are smartwatches with a multitude of health monitoring features. They get a blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) sensor, a calorie counter, a stress monitor, a heart rate monitor, a breathing monitor, and a sleep cycle sensor. GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, a barometric altimeter, a compass, an accelerometer, and a thermometer are among the other instruments aboard.

Garmin's Instinct 2 range of smartwatches can be Bluetooth-connected to Android and iOS smartphones. They also include audio playback control, and the Garmin Connect app may be used to control its numerous capabilities. Both smartwatches provide over 30 sports modes, including skiing, swimming, jogging, bicycling, and others. They also receive a VO2 Max sensor, which indicates the body's maximal oxygen intake.

The new Garmin Instinct 2 smartwatch has dimensions of 45x45x14.5mm and a weight of 53 grammes. The Garmin Instinct 2S has dimensions of 40x40x13.3mm and weighs 43 grammes.
