Bad news for smartphone owners whose handsets were most recently upgraded to Android 11! We regret to tell you that Xiaomi will not be releasing the MIUI 13.5 update for these devices. The company has chosen to discontinue support for Android 11 smartphones and will instead focus on newer models.
MIUI 13.5 Unsupported Devices
If these smartphones will receive MIUI 13, the list of devices that have ceased receiving the new MIUI 13.5 Update is as follows. At the moment, only MIUI 13 testing of the Redmi Note 8 and Mi 9 Pro are viewable.
While it is heartbreaking to see these devices no longer receiving official updates, it was their time to depart. As with new MIUI skin updates, the operating system becomes more and more dependent on the Android version, and because these devices run the old Android version, 11, it becomes more difficult to adapt new features to this old Android foundation, which is why support was withdrawn.
- Mi 9 / 9SE / 9 Lite / 9 Pro
- Mi 9T / Mi 9T Pro
- Mi CC9 / Mi CC9 Meitu
- Redmi K20 / K20 Pro / K20 Pro Premium
- Redmi Note 8 / Note 8T / Note 8 Pro
- Redmi 9A / 9AT / 9i / 9C
- POCO C3 / C31
However, you need not be concerned since unofficial software development has been with us for quite some time now, and we are confident that at least some devices will receive unofficial MIUI builds with higher Android versions, catching up with the novelties in new upgrades.
