The HUAWEI Maimang 11 with model number TYH622M apparently passed the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's network access audit.
The smartphone looks to be a successor to the HUAWEI Maimang 10, which China Telecom released in December last year for 2,299 yuan ($360). Maimang was once known as Huawei Maimang, but has since changed hands and is currently owned by China Telecom, most likely as a result of the US prohibition.
According to the Ministry's information, the HUAWEI Maimang 11 is equipped with a 2.2GHz octa-core CPU, which appears to be the Dimensity 700. (via IT Home). This is a step down from the Dimensity 720, which was powered by the Maimang 10.
The Maimang 11 also has a 6.745-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1600720, a 5900mAh battery, an 8MP front camera, and twin cameras with 48MP+2MP. The gadget is 168.377.68.98mm in length and weighs 199g. It keeps the 3.5mm headphone jack and features a fingerprint scanner on the side.
There are three colour options: black, blue, and white. Memory configurations include 6GB or 8GB of RAM, as well as 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
The release date of the next phone has yet to be announced by China Telecom, but we'll keep an eye out for it. It's unclear whether the gadget will be available outside of China.
