Until far, Honor's biggest worldwide launches have been the flagship Honor 50 and Honor Magic 4 series, both of which can now use Google Play services, unlike its ex-sister company, Huawei. However, smartphones in the higher mid-range and flagship ranges aren't the greatest in the business for capturing market share. Traditionally, the entry-level market is where corporations earn the biggest market share. (For example, the Samsung Galaxy A12 delivered the most units in 2021 in both the Samsung brand and the industry.)

Honor is finally seeking to enter the entry-level market in 2022, with the debut of its next X series line of smartphones on March 29, 2022, at 8:30 p.m. MYT (6:00 pm IST).

Honor's official website reports that the brand is "ready to move beyond" in the worldwide market. The website does not specify what goods will be released, however Honor is already advertising the Honor March 29 event as the Honor X series Launch Event via online marketing such as Banner Ads, Search Result Ads, and Instagram Ads as the Honor X series Launch Event.

The advertising show that the smartphones that will be released are the Honor X9 5G, Honor X8, and Honor X7. The launch banner and advertising offer no specifications or designs, but Honor is anticipated to divulge additional details in the following weeks to build up enthusiasm for the series.

Prior to the separation of Huawei and Honor, the Huawei brand was the focus of the company's flagship P and Mate series of handsets, with the Honor brand serving the upper mid-range market with the Honor V and Honor Number series (Honor 10, 20). However, Huawei was also viewed as a brand that produced devices for the lower mid-range and entry-level markets, as evidenced by their Huawei Y series, which are low-cost options for users.

However, after Huawei's loss of access to Google Play services, other companies such as Xiaomi and Realme have been filling the entry-level market with their devices, although some consumers miss the functionality and variety that Huawei and Honor provided with their EMUI and Magic UI. As a result, this launch event will be a delight for anyone wishing to move from their two to three-year-old Huawei Y series handsets to a newer Honor device with Google services.
