In late March 2021, Apple handed out digital invites for its 32nd Worldwide Developers Conference. Given that an all-digital conference rather than an in-person gathering is likely this year, Apple might distribute invites as early as next week.
Last year, Apple handed out invites to developers and the press for WWDC on March 30, with the conference taking place from June 7 to June 11. During the event, Apple revealed iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, macOS Monterey, watchOS 8, and other new features.
Apple used to have its Worldwide Developers Conference in the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, but all of Apple's events have been digital since 2020, with no in-person attendance. It's unclear when the next in-person Apple event will be, but it won't be WWDC in June.
Apple will unveil iOS and iPadOS 16, macOS 13, watchOS 9, and maybe new hardware at WWDC. Apple's most recent hardware announcement was at WWDC in 2019, when it debuted the Mac Pro and Pro Display XDR. Apple is working on an upgraded Mac Pro featuring Apple silicon, which might be unveiled at WWDC.
