According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman's newest newsletter, the next-generation iPad Pro models will be released in the fall of this year.

Gurman predicted in his "Power On" newsletter that because Apple did not introduce new iPad Pros this month at its "Peek Performance" event, it is realistic to expect new models to come between September and November of this year. Gurman previously stated that Apple was planning "the craziest assortment of new hardware goods in company history" for the autumn of 2022, and this list of new releases now appears to include upgraded iPad Pro versions.

According to the MacRumors Buyer's Guide, new iPad Pro models were released in March 2016, June 2017, October 2018, March 2020, and April 2021, indicating that Apple appears to refresh the product line every 13 to 16 months. Gurman's prediction appears to point to a lengthier timescale for the iPad Pro this year, speculating that it may arrive up to 19 months after the current model. This also implies that the current 2021 iPad Pros may be among the most durable versions to yet.

There have been few reports in recent months concerning the next-generation iPad Pro, but Gurman confirmed that the next iPad Pro models will include MagSafe charging as well as the "M2" processor. The M2 device is likely to contain the same 8-core CPU as the M1, but with faster and more efficient performance owing to TSMC's 4-nanometer technology. It is also said to include more GPU cores, with 9- and 10-core GPU possibilities, up from the M1 chip's 7- and 8-core GPU options.
