Google launched the current-generation flagship smartphones — Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro towards the end of last year, becoming the first devices from the company to come powered by its own Tensor processor.
Now, the company is gearing up to launch the successor — Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro and there have been a few leaks related to the upcoming flagship smartphones. The devices' release date has been revealed in the most recent leak.
According to the newest rumours, the Google Pixel 7 series smartphones may be released sooner than normal. It is expected that the phones will be released in September, rather than October, as is customary.
The future phones are slated to arrive approximately a month before the Pixel 6 series, leading to suspicion regarding their early release. However, there's a chance that the extra time will be used to fine-tune the product.
The Pixel 7 is believed to have a 6.3-inch display, while the Pixel 7 Pro is expected to have a 6.7-inch display. The Pro model is expected to have a refresh rate of 120Hz, and the screen will employ the LTPO panel.
The ordinary Pixel 7 is claimed to have a non-LTPO display with a screen refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone will be smaller and slimmer than the current-generation Pixel 6, possibly implying a lower battery.
The gadgets will be powered internally by the company's own CPU, which will be a successor to the Google Tensor SoC. Recently, renders of the upcoming Google Pixel 7 were leaked online, revealing that the phone's design will remain unchanged but with minor improvements.
