Google is rumoured to be working on the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro flagship phone series. The Pixel 7 pair will most likely be released in October of this year. The rumour mill is currently slowly leaking critical data about the specifications of both smartphones. Display specialist Ross Young has already predicted the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro screen sizes.

According to Young, the Pixel 7 will have a 6.3-inch display, which is somewhat smaller than the 6.4-inch screen found on the Pixel 6. The Pixel 7 Pro's screen size is believed to be the same as that of its predecessor, the Pixel 6 Pro.

The Pixel 6 Pro, as previously stated, has a 6.71-inch AMOLED LTPO QHD+ 120Hz display. It's unclear whether the Pixel 7 Pro will keep the same display. Young also stated that shipment of the Pixel 7 series display panels will begin in May, which is one month sooner than last year.

Last month, trustworthy tipper Steve Hemmerstoffer revealed the Pixel 7 Pro's CAD renderings. The photos indicated that the display will have a punch-hole in the centre and curving borders. The handset is believed to be 163 x 76.6 x 8.7mm in size.

The CAD images also indicated that the Pixel 7 Pro's back design will be similar to that of its predecessor. It will retain its dual-tone appearance, with a horizontal camera module containing a triple camera unit, a microphone, and an LED flash. While the precise specifications of its cameras remain unknown, it is likely to have a primary wide-angle lens, an ultrawide camera, and a periscope telephoto snapper.

According to previous sources, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are codenamed Cheetah and Panther, respectively. They are believed to be equipped with the Tensor chip's second iteration, which may incorporate a Samsung-supplied Exynos 5300 modem. The Pixel 7 pair is likely to ship with Android 13 preloaded.
