Both versions come with a free trial subscription to the Garmin Pilot app and are currently on the market in the United States. Garmin D2 Mach 1 specifications

The Garmin D2 Mach 1 has a 1.3-inch (416x416 pixel) always-on AMOLED display and is available in sapphire and titanium finishes. The wristwatch also has 32GB of internal storage, which can be utilised to store audio files for offline listening. It has GPS, as well as multi-band frequency and multi-GNSS capability, as well as direct-to navigation. Pilots can use the latter to navigate directly to an airport or waypoint in the preloaded global aeronautical database. Aviators can also activate a direct path to a nearby airport using the preloaded Nearest option.

The Garmin D2 Mach 1 offers aviation warnings like as time, distance, altitude, and a fuel timer to make flying easier. The wristwatch also provides aviation weather information, such as METARs and TAFs, so pilots can view wind speed, visibility, and barometric pressure before departing from the airport.

The Garmin D2 Mach 1 is also said to be capable of tracking flights on takeoff and transferring the date, duration, total flight time, and route to the flyGarmin.com logbook.

In an emergency, the Garmin D2 Mach 1 is said to give information such as optimal glide speed, anticipated glide distance, and glide time. Pilots can also set up personalised notifications for new METAR and TAF reports to keep informed if their destination airport changes.

Garmin has outfitted the wristwatch with a slew of sensors, including an accelerometer and gyroscope, to aid with exercise and health tracking. Heart rate and sleep monitoring, Pulse Ox (SpO2) tracking, and Body Battery energy monitoring are among them. However, the watch is not a recognised medical device and is not intended for diagnosis or monitoring of any medical issues. There are additional options for recording various gym activities, aerobic exercises, cycling, swimming, and yoga.

The Garmin D2 Mach 1 may be synced with either an iPhone or an Android smartphone. It supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi networking.
