Four iPhone hidden features that are revealed.

It's that time of year again when we look at secret iPhone features that you could be missing out on. There are several functions on the iPhone, particularly with the current software iOS 15, which is available for a variety of iPhones – not just the most recent versions.

Reachability

This is an iPhone feature that, as the name implies, allows you to more easily access portions of your phone's screen. It accomplishes this by dropping the top half of the screen into the centre of the screen, making it easier for your thumb to access when using your phone one-handed.

This is extremely handy for iPhone Pro Max users, particularly those who possess an iPhone Pro Max 13, which has a massive 6.7-inch display.

To enable this function, go to your Settings app, scroll down and hit Accessibility, then search and pick 'Touch,' and finally toggle on 'Reachability' (so that it's green).

After that, merely swiping down on the bottom of the screen's home bar causes the top of the window to go halfway down the screen.

On-Screen Home Button

It's likely you're already aware of this function, but if you're not, it might be quite useful, especially if you have an older iPhone or iPhone SE with a physical home button.

The home button may have troubles or cease responding from time to time, especially given that these are older smartphones. The good news is that there is a solution. Although you can't completely resolve the physical issue, you can add an on-screen home button to your iPhone to replace the actual home button.

Head to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch > Toggle On

When you activate this, a grey/black circle appears on the screen that may be moved to practically any border of the screen - sides, top, or bottom.

If you tap it, you'll be able to not only use it as a home button by tapping 'Home,' but you'll also be able to fast access your notifications, Control Centre, Siri, and other features.

Share with Siri

You may now use Siri to share what's on your screen. And the scope of this feature is fantastic. It may be your Instagram profile, a picture or video from your photo album, the weather from Apple's weather app, a site page, or even a song on Apple Music or Spotify.

All you have to do is say, "Hey Siri, share this with [person]" - the name of the person you want to share this thing with – while on or in whatever you want to share.

It should go ahead without a hitch as long as they're in your contacts and it's a sharing feature. You may also preview and add a remark to what you're sending before it's sent. Alternatively, you may activate Siri by holding down the home button and then saying "send this to [person]."

Turn off App Tracking request

Are you tired of applications asking you whether or not they can monitor you?

Personally, I'd rather not be tracked by applications unless it's required for the performance or functioning of a trusted app. As a result, I've pressed the 'Ask app not to track' button more times than I can count.

However, by going into your iPhone's settings, you may make this response the default so that an app will never ask you again.

To enable this, head to Settings > Privacy > Tracking > Toggle off ‘Allow Apps to Request to Track’. If this toggle is turned off (from green to grey) apps will no longer ask. Also, below this toggle you can also toggle tracking activity off or on for each app you already have installed.
