ColorOS 12 beta for Android 12-based handsets, OPPO A56 5G and OPPO A93s 5G, is now available. Both of them are low-cost 5G cellphones available in China. They were introduced in October and July of this year, respectively.
ColorOS 12 beta registration for the OPPO A56 5G and OPPO A93s 5G was meant to start today. However, the firm began accepting applications yesterday and has already closed enrollment as of today.
The sole condition was that users of the A56 5G and A93s 5G utilise firmware versions A.10 and A.09, respectively. Within 5 working days, applications will be assessed. Furthermore, the accepted candidates will receive the Android 12-based ColorOS 12 beta build through OTA within three working days after being chosen.
We do not know if a second round of beta registrations will be held. If there are any, interested users might try their luck again later.
In terms of stable release, OPPO has not said when these devices would receive it. According to the Android 12 upgrade rollout thus far, the phones will most likely receive the stable version in a month or more.
We anticipate that OPPO will provide the precise release date in its ColorOS 12 monthly update plan.
