The Black Shark 5 and Black Shark 5 Pro have debuted on Geekbench, displaying their Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPUs, respectively, ahead of its March 30th Chinese release.
Among them, the Black Shark 5 Pro achieved high scores of 1,237 points for single-core and 3,750 points for multi-core testing, respectively. The Black Shark 5, on the other hand, appears to hover between 3,000 and 1,000 points, which, although not very amazing for a gaming phone, might improve once the series is released.
In addition, the official Black Shark Weibo handle today demonstrated the phones' shoulder buttons in a video. The specialised keys, dubbed "Magnetic Lifting Shoulder Button 2.0," offer for more control when gaming, whether in FPS or racing games. They appear to have a "U-shape" for better grip.
The Black Shark 5 Pro features a 6.67-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400 1080 and a refresh rate of 144Hz. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will be aided by 16GB of RAM and will be fueled by a 4650mAh battery with 120W fast charging capabilities.
