Multiple display characteristics for the next Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 have been revealed by Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station in a post. The MIX Fold 2, like the first MIX Fold, will include a book-style folding solution, an internal screen size of 8-inches, and a cover display size of 6.5-inches.

The next foldable device's crease has been greatly improved over the previous iteration, and both internal and exterior screens now support high refresh rates (120Hz), as opposed to the prior model's cover display, which was limited to 60Hz. There is also DC dimming for eye protection onboard. LTPO was also mentioned, however it appears to be confined to the inner panel.

The informant also disclosed that the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 was supposed to launch with the Samsung-made Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 last year, but that it may now arrive with the TSMC-made Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus. The latter is anticipated to remedy the limitations of the former, which has been falling behind competitors such as the Dimensity 9000 in terms of benchmarks.

However, both chips will feature a "1+3+4" layout, with 1x super-large Cortex-X2 core, 3x huge Cortex-A710 cores, and 4x compact Cortex-A510 cores.

The Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 is set to be released in the middle of 2022. Based on the fact that its predecessor was released for 9,999 Yuan, its pricing is projected to be about 9,999 Yuan.
