Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo now expects Apple to unveil a redesigned Mac mini in 2023, rather than 2022, as originally expected.
Ming-Chi Kuo revised his projections for Apple's key hardware launches in 2022 and 2023 on Twitter. The new tweet, which follows his previous version on March 6, 2022, puts the Mac mini until 2023.
A substantial upgrade to the Mac mini has been predicted for some years, with reports ranging from mid-2021 to include a dramatic redesign of Apple's smallest Mac.
While preserving the same overall square puck form, the Mac mini's design is rumoured to contain a metal rim and a polycarbonate top, as well as rubber feet rather than a circular base.
There are four Thunderbolt connectors, two USB-A ports, Ethernet, and HDMI on the rear, which is said to be significantly more than the initial M1 Mac mini. It is also anticipated that the Mac mini may inherit the magnetic charging connector from the 24-inch iMac.
Because of current pricing concerns, the analyst recently forecast that Apple may not introduce any new products utilising micro LED technology until 2022. This meant there would be no "Studio Display Pro," but his assertion of a non-mini LED monitor aligns with analyst Ross Young's allegation that another display is currently in development.
