Samsung is expected to release the much-anticipated mid-range Samsung Galaxy A53 in March 2022, and as the date approaches, more facts about the smartphone begin to surface from the shadows. According to the newest news, leaked press materials for the Samsung Galaxy A53 launch have been posted online, including the device's specifications, and it appears that the trend of deleting the headphone port has now reached Samsung's mid-range array of devices.

The information was obtained from Twitter leaker TechInsider, who is also a fellow tech writer. In the article, he included various photographs of press papers he had gotten regarding the Samsung Galaxy A53's features.

Let's start with the primary differences between the Samsung Galaxy A52 and its successor. For starters, the 3.5mm headphone jack will be removed from the Galaxy A53, a feature that was previously accessible on the Galaxy A52. Instead, the audio input/output connector will be replaced by a USB-C charging port. Although the headphone jack has been removed on Samsung's flagships since the Galaxy Note 10 series, this is the first time a mid-range A-series device will be released without one. Unlike Samsung's previous flagships, the Galaxy A53 keeps the SD card slot, allowing for storage expansion up to 1TB.

The device's battery capacity is the next major adjustment. The Samsung Galaxy A53 has a big 5000mAh battery, which is a significant boost over the 4500mAh battery from last year. With its matte polycarbonate construction, the smartphone is nonetheless light to grip at 189g.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 will be powered by an Exynos 1280 processor, which will offer 5G connectivity and faster performance than the Snapdragon 720G found in the Galaxy A52.

As for the screen, the Samsung Galaxy A53 will feature a flat 120Hz AMOLED FHD+ display, an upgrade over last year’s 90Hz, with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The device will also feature Dolby Atmos speakers for a better multimedia experience.

Coming to the cameras, the Galaxy A53 still retains the quad-camera setup as last year’s A52 with its 64MP OIS main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide lens, and 5MP macro and depth cameras. On the durability front, the A53 retains the IP67 dust and water resistance rating and receives Gorilla Glass 5 on the front from drop and scratches.

Previous leaked renderings have stated that the device will be available in three youthful colours: Blue, Orange, White, and Black. Once it is officially released, the Samsung Galaxy A53 is expected to be available in countries such as the United States, India, Europe, and Asia.
