According to well-connected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will not release any additional products with a mini LED screen in 2022.

Kuo reiterated a previous prediction that Apple would not launch new mini LED products due to "cost concerns" in a tweet on Wednesday. Kuo clarified in his most recent forecast that he means there will be no additional products with a new display size in 2022.

In other words, Apple may update its existing small LED goods, such as the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. It will not, however, introduce new mini LED devices, such as an 11-inch model.

Kuo previously predicted that Apple would release an 11-inch iPad Pro with a mini LED display in 2022.

Kuo's revised projection is consistent with other experts who are keeping an eye on Apple's display developments. Display Supply Chain Consultants' Ross Young, who has a track record of making accurate forecasts, agrees with the notion that no new small LED devices will be available in 2022.

Young stated earlier this month that the 12.9-inch iPad Pro was "doing pretty well," and that Apple wouldn't need to introduce a small LED 11-inch variant.
