While Apple was expected to release new Mac Mini PCs this year, a fresh rumour claims that the company has delayed the debut until next year. The information comes from a well-known expert who released it earlier today (11th March 2022).
According to Ming-Chi Kuo on Twitter, the Cupertino-based behemoth will release the next Mac Mini in 2023. Notably, the expert recently provided his prognosis for the next Mac lineup for 2022 and 2023. He said that Apple intends to release a new high-end Mac Small as well as a 27-inch external display sans mini LED display technology later this year. However, he just issued an update stating that this Mac Mini model has been postponed till next year.
Aside from that, Kuo indicated that the Mac Pro and iMac Pro will be available in 2023. As of today, the company's latest Mac Minis are available with the M1 chipset, as well as Intel variations. As a result, we may anticipate the next-generation model to have the new M2 processor, as well as the M2 Pro. According to a recent report, the M2 chipset will be used in the upcoming 13-inch MacBook Pro, 24-inch iMac, and Mac Mini, all of which are presently under development.
This chip would be the M1's successor, with the same 8 core CPU but improved performance and energy efficiency. When it comes to the next generation Mac Mini, it is rumoured to get a design revamp that includes a slimmer chassis, a plexiglass-like top, and two-tone colour possibilities. However, the PC is still some time away from being released. So stay tuned for additional information.
