  • The Snapdragon SM8450 SoC may be used in the Xiaomi 12 Ultra.
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra is said to have emerged in the IMEI database. The upcoming Xiaomi phone might be the company's most expensive product and the successor to last year's Mi 11 Ultra. In addition to its alleged entry in the IMEI database, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC. This is expected to be an improvement to the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and will be released in the second half of the year.

According to Xiaomiui.net, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra has been discovered in the IMEI database under the model number 2206122SC. The phone's codename is also rumoured to be Xiaomi L2S.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro, which was released in December, was codenamed L2 and had the model number M2001J1C.

Xiaomiui.net also uploaded a screenshot of the IMEI database listing, which does not clearly display the Xiaomi 12 Ultra title. The rationale for considering the mentioned model as the next Xiaomi flagship is that the business has previously released 'Ultra' flagships with the 'SC' suffix in the model number. For example, the Xiaomi J1S model number was assigned to the Mi 10 Ultra in 2020. (M2007J1SC).

Separately, a rumour has claimed that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be powered by the Qualcomm SM8475 SoC. The chipset is thought to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+, an update to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with model number SM8450.

The Xiaomi 12 Ultra is expected to be released sometime in 2019.

According to previous sources, the phone would include 120W fast charging, a 4,860mAh battery, a 5x periscope-shaped lens, and no secondary display. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra's back design has also surfaced online.
