The Tecno Spark 8C, the latest inexpensive smartphone from China's Transsion Holdings, was released in India on Monday, February 21. The new Tecno handset is available in four different colour variations and includes twin back cameras powered by artificial intelligence (AI), with a 13-megapixel main sensor as the focal point. The Tecno Spark 8C includes a 5,000mAh battery and a 90Hz refresh rate display. According to the manufacturer, the smartphone battery can last up to 53 hours of talk time and 137 hours of music listening. The Tecno Spark 8C is the successor of the Tecno Spark 8 that was released last year.

Price and availability of the Tecno Spark 8C in India

The Tecno Spark 8C pricing in India is Rs. 7,499 for the single 3GB + 64GB storage model. According to the firm, this is an introductory launch pricing. There has been no hint on how long the introduction period will run. The phone will be available on Amazon beginning February 24 in Diamond Grey, Iris Purple, Magnet Black, and Turquoise Cyan colour choices.

The vanilla Tecno Spark 8, on the other hand, was released in India in September of last year for Rs. 7,999.

The new Tecno Spark 8C has an AI-powered dual back camera set, which includes a 13-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.8 lens. AI Beauty 3.0, Wide Selfie, Portrait mode, HDR, and Filters are among the functions supported by the rear camera system. In addition, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with a selfie light on the front. Other camera features include 1080p time-lapse photography and video capture at 120 frames per second.

The Tecno Spark 8C has 64GB of eMMC 5.1 inbuilt storage that can be expanded through a dedicated microSD card slot (up to 256GB).

The Tecno Spark 8C has 4G LTE, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM radio, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm audio port for connectivity. On-board sensors include an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor. The Tecno Spark 8C has a face unlock function as well as a fingerprint scanner on the rear.

In addition, the device has DTS Sound and the SOPlay 2.0 software to assist customise music tracks for playing, as well as the HiParty app. The Tecno Spark 8C is also splash-resistant, with an IPX2 rating.
